Air Emissions - Sensors

The EFD-TIP team is conducting field tests to deploy and test new equipment to monitor air quality during drilling and completion operations.

Selected sensors measure the environmental conditions within a certain area, record those conditions remotely, then process and incorporate that information into the Sensorpedia network for display in real time. An ORNL team provides guidance on the parameters included in the demonstration of the Sensorpedia EFD network, setting the boundaries for the data and development of baseline/monitoring data for environmental impacts.

The oversight monitoring program is capable of measuring small or large geographic areas. The subtask will also document the effectiveness of technology being tested in the Eagle Ford Shale proving ground.
