The EFD-TIP team is conducting field tests to monitor emissions from pits and impoundments. Air emissions may include highly volatile organic compounds (HVOC) and other potential pollutants. The field tests and case studies will first measure and identify these emissions and then develop recommendations concerning mitigation practices.
