State Coordination Program

Involves coordination of efforts with other producing states to include identification, formalization and co-funding of collaborations with other coastal states/regions. Five other states – California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Alaska will receive funds under the Coastal Impact Assistance Program. This task will identify opportunities for cooperation, collaboration and technology transfer with these states. RPSEA will rely on existing networks to complete this task. At least one workshop will be held where all these states will be able to network and review various collaborative efforts. The workshop will rely on existing networks, for example, HARC has organized similar network events, in order to hold the workshop in a cost effective manner. The objective of the workshop will be to enable the various states to discuss their programs and to identify areas of mutual collaboration that could exist. The goal will be to establish a long-term relationship that will enable programs identified to become self-sustaining.
